LU REN was founded in Seefeld near Munich in 2013.
The founder and designer is Chinese-born Katie Ji, who lives her passion for fashion and fine knitwear. She only uses the highest quality yarns. All of her cashmere yarns come from Mongolia, the home of the famous cashmere goat. She works directly on site with the most renowned suppliers, who also supply global brands such as Hermès and many other famous maisons. Thanks to its excellent network of suppliers, it can offer the highest quality at a very good price.

The collection is uncompromisingly international and all designs are real fashion statements. Trendy and surprising cuts, an exclusive color palette and high-quality material mixes of cashmere and silk create a unique look. Founder & Designer KATIE JI
Katie Ji spent her childhood on the Chinese mainland, where the processing of cashmere is still practiced and developed as a tradition thousands of years old. This craftsmanship has had a decisive influence on Katie's design talent and remains a constant source of inspiration for her. The Far Eastern philosophy with its love of detail and perfection is the basis of Katie's versatile activities as founder and designer of LU REN.
Katie Ji named the brand after her grandmother, who was her most important mentor growing up. She gave Katie the self-confidence and belief that she could make her dreams come true.
Her experiences in different countries have shaped Katie's understanding and respect for different lifestyles, cultures and traditions, as well as her feeling for the comprehensive significance of clothing in people's everyday lives. "At its best, clothing helps the wearer to feel protected, comfortable, self-confident and naturally beautiful and unique," is how the designer describes the credo of her creative work.
In 2013, Katie Ji founded her own company based in Seefeld, Bavaria. Since then, the LU REN womenswear collection has stood for exclusive knitwear made from cashmere and other fine yarns, for timelessly modern fashion that never ceases to fascinate and surprise.
